Statement by Morocco at the Fifth Session of the Conference on the Establishment of a Middle East Zone Free of Nuclear Weapons and other WMD
Morocco recognised that establishing an ME WMDFZ is particularly urgent as a key regional approach for international peace and security. Measures to enhance confidence, verification, and resolution of technical obstacles are needed for the establishment of ME WMDFZ, which requires a political will, a collective understanding of regional security, and the elimination of distrust. Morocco believes it is necessary to refrain from any threatening rhetoric or involving nuclear threats against any state in the region.Open document
